I won!!

I won a giveaway from DIYPlaybook!! I won a 50$ giftcard to HomeGoods!! I had visited Homegoods previously, but never bought anything there. I was inspired and excited by DIY Playbooks decor from HomeGoods! So here are things that I tried to hold myself back from taking home with me.
These bowls are just perfect. The teal and gold is stunning!
I love elephants almost as much as giraffes!

These are some beautiful bookends! I caressed these for like ten minutes and tried to figure out if I could leave something else behind and keep these.

THESE WERE HUGEEE! Like 10 feet tall, no joke.
His horns were beautifully enormous. I loved him and named him Stanley but couldn't think of where I could keep him.
I love agate! This is beautiful!
I just think this kitty bookend is adorable..

So those were my temptations. Here is what actually went home with!
This is a beautiful wine rack and wine glasses set that I ended up giving to my cute boyfriend for Christmas!
I got one agate bookend and I am just in love and so happy about it!

I found this little fly and he had to come home with me.
Here he is happy on my shelf!

A candle for a lovely friend!

A delicious little snack just to finish it all off!! Love!
I am so grateful and Doug was so stoked with the wine rack and glasses. I am really happy with my bookend and little fly. Thanks DIY Playbook!

I have these letters...

Makes me sad to even think that I am not going to be living in Malawi anymore. It's been over a year and I still miss Malawi everyday. I still miss sitting in my hammock with Bright. I miss cooking over a fire with Lyzinet on my knee telling me how great a cook I am and how beautiful I am, when looking at her, it's impossible to see how I can be so beautiful in comparison.
It is impossible to imagine that I don't live in Chiwamba anymore when half of my heart is still there...well, probably 95% of it. I miss Malawi with every fiber of my being. I miss teaching under the tin roof to 75 beautiful faces. I miss walking to Clifford's house and sitting with Cossam and playing knock while watching Elf for the seventy-fifth time. I miss eating nsima with Julia or spaghetti and her gracious thanks, "Thank you my best friend, for the good delicious food." I miss watching Clueless or the Hunger Games or episodes of the Office with Elizabeth. I miss dancing in the backs of matolas.

For a bigger glimpse into my time as a Peace Corps Volunteer, you can check out my blog

A terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week.

Wednesday, I put my contacts in at 7am, my eyes began stinging and watering until I was able to take a break at 10 and take them back out. I went home early from work and basically just laid in the dark with ice on my eyelids until Doug came to make me dinner.
Thursday, I worked from 650am until 6pm with a 1/2 hour lunch break. I was so tired when I got home, I barely managed to make food before falling asleep backwards on my bed.
Today, Friday, I woke up and when I went out to start my car, all it did was click. And click and click and clickclickclickclickclickclick. So I can't get to work, my parents are out of town and oh yes, the dog has vomited on the stairs...all before 9am. Now I get the lovely pleasure of walking to the nearest auto shop and "describing" the problems my car is weirdly having.

Terrible
Horrible
No good
VERY BAD
week.

Can I just go back to bed?

Citizenship

As part of my job, I deal with noncitizens, both legal and illegal. I find it fascinating. I was directed to this quiz from cupcakesandcashmere (http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/series-stories/links-i-love-39) and I think it is fascinating!!

Slowly, slowly.

I have been in the process of cleaning out my diet. I am eliminating addictions, or trying to, slowly. Right now, I am candy, chips, chocolate, and ice cream free. Since I used to eat candy and chips every day, I am working hard to avoid those and it is not easy. Next, I am removing bread. I may remove all dairy, as delicious as some cheeses are, my stomach is sometimes angry at me for eating any at all - I typically stay away from milk as my body really hates milk! That's okay with me, coconut milk works to fill that void. I don't know if there is an equivalent of non-dairy cheese that fills the same desire.
However, I am learning that the cravings for the candy have mostly gone away (chips not so much - I miss the salt!!). I feel healthier and stronger.
I also have been running and working out, which is so stress-reducing and calming! After a long day at work, an hour or two in the gym doing squats or running or ab work is exactly what I need and want.
It is sometimes still surprising to me how much I enjoy exercise! I am glad to enjoy it!
I don't know if I have lost weight, but I will check and let you know soon!

Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Comforts Shoe Inserts

I actually don't usually like to use fuzzy things in my shoes- I attempted Uggs back in middle school and hated them.
These are not like that at all. They are cozy but not sweat-inducing. The fabric is wickable and supportive. I love it!
I have never been so comfortable in a long time! My feet love these inserts!

I am a Scholl's For Her convert!

Thanks, Influenster! These products were given complimentary for testing purposes. My opinion is mine alone and I was not coerced into making a positive review!

#DrScholls is the hashtag for twitter.

Rimmel London US ScandalEyes Mascara Review!

Demo!

Alright, I am a huuuuuge fan of ScandalEyes Mascara now. It is a new product that is coming out this month (November) and you should definitely buy it. I am a connoisseur of mascara. I have different brands jumbled together in my makeup bag. Or I did until I got ScandalEyes complimentary from Influenster. Now it is the only mascara in my bag. I am obsessed.

The formula is smooth, slick, but doesn't look shiny or greasy at all. It goes on smooth and takes a minute to dry on your lashes - which is GREAT because it gives you extra time to put another layer (or five like I do) on. It curls your lashes the tiniest bit, just a hint of a curl, which is just enough for an all-natural fresh-faced girl like myself. I prefer to look like I'm not wearing makeup except my lashes occasionally. And ScandalEyes actually fits both bills! If I want to look fresh faced and clean, a layer or two is perfect, opening my eyes up to look bigger without looking all thick and caked on. If I want to do a smoky, sexy eye, a third layer is just perfect, it makes my eyes look dark and mysterious and like you want to drown in my green-blue pools.

Some tips:
1. Open your mouth. I don't know why, but my eyes don't wiggle as much!
2. Wiggle the brush to brush the mascara on cleanly over your lashes.
3. To get a light, fresh look, one or two coats is just enough. For a sexy, smoky look, add a third coat!
4. Shut your eye to get just enough mascara on your lower lashes to open them up, but not enough to make them look awkwardly heavy. One brush-over with your eyes closed is enough!

A soliloquy on fitness.

I have been running lately. Big running kick. I am slow, but I push myself to run further every time. Or longer. Or faster. One of the three.

My fastest mile is 12:42. My longest time is 34:24. My furthest distance is 2.5 miles. It may not be quick but from starting at 15:54, I have improved in speed. From starting at 12:30, I have improved in length. Starting with .4 miles, I have improved in distance.

I am proud of myself for sticking with this. It has been about 2.5 weeks and I am working to keep it up. Some days, I laze at home and watch Big Bang Theory. Most others, I am out running. I can be proud of that!

I hear lots of shaming and bashing to women who aren't fit and that breaks my heart. I hear women shame and bash themselves. Do I have a perfect body? No. No, I don't. Do I love myself regardless? Yes. Yes, I do. Will I let my imperfection stop me from doing something I enjoy? NO! You are a beauty in yourself and you have every right to be in the gym and every right to sit at home with a jar of pickles (okay, maybe that isn't the most unhealthy food but it is my favorite food and I can eat a jar a day...easy).

I truly believe that when you don't shame or bash yourself, no one is going to do it for you. I don't hear bad comments about my body. Maybe I ignore them or they are said behind my back, but I know that I am pretty, fun and passionate and if my ____ is a little ____ than yours, get over it. I know I have.

Focus on the positive. Focus on the present. Do what makes you happy.

For me, that means I will be up (in the gym, just working on my fitness) on that treadmill, running my cute little butt off. I will do jump split squats. I will make up weighted exercises to do and laugh when I look ridiculous. I am having FUN getting fit and enjoying the journey. That's what life is about, right?

Rimmel London ScandalEyes #retroglam #retromania

Alright, the more I use the ScandalEyes mascara, the more I love it. Lately, it seems like most mascara wands use plastic/silicon bristles so the brush like wand of ScandalEyes is great! It really brushes the mascara on ALL my lashes without the pulling pain that I get with plastic wands. I enjoy the formula as well! It is smooth, easy to use and covers well. My lashes are black with this stuff! I love it!
I definitely am particular when it comes to mascara so I was doubtful when I received it, but I like it a lot. I plan on replacing my usual mascaras with this one solely because it works so much better! I am super grateful to +Influenster for putting this product in the #RoseVoxBox ! It is a fantastic product. I am an official #retromania fan!

RoseVoxBox!

I got a RoseVoxBox! So stinking cool! I was so excited to finally get it. It felt like it took forever, though it was probably only a few days. #RoseVoxBox

The products that Influenster.com included are:

  • Lindt Lindor Truffle
  • Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Comfort
  • Kiss Gradation Polishes
  • Rimmel London Scandaleyes mascara
  • BelVita blueberry breakfast biscuit
I was super excited to get it. The link to the video of me opening my VoxBox is HERE Clearly, I was excited! My voice is a little awkward because I don't videotape myself often...although maybe I sound like that all the time. I don't know. My pinterest is HERE

So far, I have tried everything except the Dr. Scholls because I live in Florida and it isn't cold yet. I am heading to Boston in a week, and if it is cold enough, I will do a test run!

Many people love Lindt and I am definitely one of them. I am a huge fan really. I am picky about chocolate and my favorites are Lindt and Kinder. I had previously tried the Truffle but actually never the milk chocolate, only the white chocolate and dark chocolate. It is fantastic. I obviously already like Lindt Lindor Truffles, and these just carry on the deliciousness. The chocolate melts in your mouth and is just liquid and silky smooth and well made. They taste better than regular chocolate and the Truffle....oh so stinking good. #LindtTruffle is the hashtag on twitter and pinterest.

The Kiss Gradation Polishes are fantastic! I am typically OPI/Essie only type of girl so I had looked at these with interest in the past but wrote them off as not worth it because it isn't Essie or OPI. Boy, was I wrong! These glided on smoothly, were easy to apply. The colors didn't mix from layer to layer, which was a concern of mine. As you can see in the below picture, it actually looks similar to the advertisements!

Rimmel London ScandalEyes - I am a mascara freak. So far, Neutrogena is my favorite. I have never tried Rimmel ever before so this was a great new find. My eyelashes are beautifully thick and full. It was easy to apply and use; my eyes look bigger and wide awake. The wand is easy to hold because it is wide and thick. The brush is shaped to brush mascara on all of my lashes at once because it is thicker on the edges of the brush so it brushes the mascara on equally over my eyelashes. LOVE IT. It is freaking fantastic. #retromania

The BelVita breakfast biscuits are so delicious. I love these. Breakfast is convenient and easy and best of all, DELICIOUS. Yum! #BreakfastBiscuits are so good. I had blueberry flavor and it was so good! I am obviously stoked to be eating my breakfast on my way to work this morning. Delicious!

All of these products were given on a complimentary basis for testing purposes.
Though I was gifted these products to test, I have represented my own opinion without reserve!

PS. If you would like an invite to Influenster, please let me know, I have a few invites left!

Infrequent musings.

Hello again!

I don't have too many updates. Work has been fantastic. I am really enjoying both my job and the new clothes. ;)
I am in the midst of reading some good books...three to be exact. Lolita by Nabakov, Economix by Michael Goodwin, and The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen. I am extremely into Economix and The Keeper of Lost Causes but I am having a LOT of trouble finishing Lolita. I can't really explain why. It is well-written and has funny turns so maybe it is just the concept and plot I am disliking. Who knows?

However, Economix is a book about the history of the economy written in comic form and it is fantastic! I am engaged and learning and it is not nearly as dry as I expected it to be. My cousin recommended it, and so I bought it and just set it aside for a while. Another cousin posted that he was going to take an econ class, so I said I would lend it to him. So I had to start reading it, and I have been loving it! I am flying through it unfortunately!

When I finish all three, I will link to my goodreads.com reviews of each.

UPDATE: Oct. 22 Finished The Keeper of Lost Cases and Economix but not Lolita. Links below!

been a long time...

I got really busy what with starting a kickass new job, one of my best friend's getting married and traveling a little bit.

I've been buying lots of work clothes lately at the thrift shop and on the target clearance racks. I've gotten quite a few scores. :) Pretty happy about that! I will eventually post some pictures...may take a while. :P I will get there though!

I won the top 5 Influenster Dasani Drops Brand Challenge! I am super excited about it as they are mailing a koozie, a giftcard and best of all, ALL SIX flavors of Dasani Drops!
(if you want to see reviews, check out http://www.influenster.com/review/dasani-drops-tm or https://www.facebook.com/Dasani)

I just began my new job and it is going really well, even though it is tiring working 40 hours a week. School and 30 seemed like less at the time, even though it is probably more (if you study which I didn't). I am finishing up my grad school application which is scary and exciting and fantastic! I can't wait.
Send good thoughts my way!

Blogging

I think this blog has been primarily a way to blog my VoxBoxes. I don't want to use it exclusively for that. I want to use it to write, to show off my style, to express myself in a myriad of ways. So I may begin doing that, interspersed with VoxBox posts if I am lucky to get anymore.

I am currently in the midst of losing weight. Ten pounds lost, I am looking to lose about 50 more. So I am doing boot camp, exercising on my own on days I miss boot camp and just trying to be more active, in addition to tracking what I eat, daily. So expect some posts about that.

Additionally, I love fashion. I don't have tons of money, or time, but I love make-up, jewelry, clothes, shoes and most especially PURSES. Love. Obsession. So I may have some fashion/style posts in here.

I am a notorious girly girl, but at the same time, I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Africa where I lived sans electricity or running water. In other words, I like getting dirty sometimes. I maintained a blog during my time in Malawi (caitlinspeaceoftheworld.blogspot.com if you'd like to check it out), so I may do some writing in here.

I'm a twenty-something philanthropic clotheshorse in the midst of this journey. Welcome.

DASANI DROPS review!

I received another VoxBox! This time it is the Dasani Drops VoxBox.

It contained two flavors of Dasani Drops, a bottle of Dasani water, and some coupons for my friends/family.

I really like Dasani Drops. It tastes better than other liquid drink flavors. Some leave a weird feeling on your tongue or have a bad aftertaste, but not Dasani Drops. They mix quickly, easily (in both hot and cold water - I tested!), and taste great!

I had Cherry Pomegranate and Pink Lemonade. I don't normally enjoy pink lemonade flavored anything, but in the spirit of testing, I tried and LOVED it, surprisingly. I thought the cherry pom would be my favorite, but I actually liked the pink lemonade more!

One great bonus is Dasani Drops are ZERO calorie! Who doesn't love that?! I am in the process of losing weight (10 lbs down!) and having a zero calorie flavor option is fantastic! Even better, it doesn't taste zero calorie. It tastes like regular sugary juices/drinks!

I use Dasani Drops pretty often (I will buy more soon and try some new flavors and review those later). Typically, I will use Dasani Drops at work, when I exercise and when I am just hanging out but want to have a "drink" without killing my diet. :)

So ULTIMATELY my favorite part is the zero calories without the zero calorie taste!

Influenster Reviews of Dasani Drops

I want to make sure it is known that Influenster chose me to review this product, sent it to me complimentary, and I am under no compulsion to write nice things about the product. All the thoughts above are my reaction to Dasani Drops.

I'm sorry....

to all the nonexistent readers of this blog...I went on vacation, came home, started a new job and lost track of life and this blog.
To update, I started a new job which is going well-ish. I cleaned my bedroom several times. I visited the wizarding world of Harry Potter and finished quite a few books.
Other than that, the world of Caitlin has been pretty bland. :) Just the way I like it. Not really, but it has been nice to just relax and settle into my job before getting all busy and crazy.

I did graduate from Guardian ad Litem, so I will probably have a case in a few weeks, though I will not be able to talk about it.
I applied to school and I am going back in the fall, to take Biology which I didn't take. So thar she blows. Hopefully, my grad school application for the Master of Social Work will be accepted. We will see! :)

Preparation!

So my head is clogged with words like "mendicant" "igneous" "jocose" "ephemeral" and formulas like (n-2)(180) and y=mx+b.

I am studying for the GRE. I am hoping to earn a good enough score to offset my mediocre GPA. My GPA isn't horrible, but not fantastic either. I am looking to go back to my alma mater and get a Master's of Social Work. Not really looking, but I have it all planned out and ready to go.

My plan:
Great score on GRE
which leads to
Acceptance at USF
meanwhile
I am working and saving for grad school (to take part-time classes so I don't gain debt).

I am also looking into buying a house sometime in September/October. Hopefully I can figure out a way to save enough to get one!

So wish me luck, as I study for one more day and then take the GRE on Thursday. Luckily, I am leaving for a road trip on Thursday as well, so any stress will be flying out the windows immediately!

Fantastic.
What must-see locales would you recommend I visit on my way to Washington state from Florida? (going the southern route!)

ELEVEN! + Olay Fresh Effects Va-Va-Vivid Update!

11 Pounds lost! That is crazy. I am slowly but steadily losing weight and as the old adage goes, slow and steady wins the race. The healthier I eat, and the more I work out, the better I feel and the more I enjoy it. I ran 3.1 miles yesterday and it was slow, but I did it. It hurt, but I did it. I am proud of myself for continuing to keep going and pushing through!

In other news, I have continued using my Fresh Effects and my skin is delicious. My skin is still getting clearer and SOFTER and just all around nicer looking. I look fresh and clean. I am stoked that I look so fancy, and that I have actually had people compliment me on my baby-skin face. That sounds like a horrible compliment. It's not though. Swear.

I do tend to use mine in the shower a little bit after I have washed my hair, so my skin has a chance to open up the pores from the steam/hot water. That is completely a theory I made up on my own. I love the shape of the brush more and more though and additionally, my skin is SUPER sensitive. As in, if I use non-non-allergenic sunscreen, I get a chemical burn that lasts for a week. Miserable. This cleanser is not harsh at all and I definitely would not continue to use it if it was. It's actually pretty fantastic! I was nervous to try out and I am glad I did!

I received Olay Fresh Effects as a complementary product from Influenster and I am continuing to LOVE it.

You can buy Olay Fresh Effects at www.olayfresheffects.com or from Amazon.com  :)

Update

My goal right now is under-36 at a 5k on May 25th. Right now I'm running at around 44 minutes. So I am working on it. Last week, I was at around 50. So hopefully by running everyday, I can improve that. :) I'm excited to try at the very least!

I haven't weighed myself in a few days because I was out of town last week. This Friday, I am going up for my uncle's wedding on Saturday, so that should be interesting.

I got a job! FINALLY. I am excited about it. I start after I come home from the roadtrip with Jen! So that is super exciting. It pays better than my old job and has around 40 hours a week, so that part is awesome as well! I'm going to save up for fall classes at USF and get started at pulling up my GPA and then get into an awesome grad school.

Wish me luck!

The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult

I absolutely could not put this book down. It was an incredible read. I actually enjoyed it more than I usually do Picoult's books.
The characters and their faults and flaws and energy and spirit were just fantastic. I am interested in Holocaust-related books and this was right up my alley. I definitely loved how the ending turned out, how the characters finished the novel. Absolutely enthralling.
Picoult...this is a BRILLIANT book. I can't wait for your next.

Fitness Update!

So in my old blog, I wrote a blog post that explains why I am in need of losing weight. http://caitlinspeaceoftheworld.blogspot.com/2013/03/long-time-read-with-caution-please.html (refers to a traumatic experience so read with care)
Because of the experience, when all is said and done, I gained about 60 pounds since I have returned home from Malawi. My goal is to lose around 80. And I am at 9.4 pounds lost so far! I have gained a lot of muscle and lost some fat. My thighs, hips and stomach have all lost an inch or two which is fantastic. My work pants (well, for the job I have now quit) got so loose and baggy that the fabric rubbed thin and when I bent over, RIIIIIP! But that is not a bad thing by any means.

The boot camp I am enrolled in is a great one. We typically start by stretching/warming up for 5-10 minutes, then do about 50-55 minutes of running, squats, boxing/fighting, ab work, arm work (lots of push-ups), and then end with a cool down for 5-10 minutes. It is great. Hard work and I leave every day dripping in sweat.

I have never worked so hard in my life but I am proud of myself for gaining endurance and having visible progress. I am excited to see how hard I can push myself!

So 9.4 pounds down (as of Friday - I weigh myself on Fridays at 1030am every week). 70 more to go!

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Sometimes being broke is better than being miserable. In other words, I quit my job.
I was having a very rough time with a few things and decided that coming home 2 nights a week crying isn't worth the (minuscule) paycheck. Yes, money is money. Time is also money and spending 2 hours a day driving (which also equates to spending around 175$ a month on gas) is not my dream. Going in for the paycheck was dreadful and miserable, so I left.

I am a 24 year old with no debt, so life is a bit easier (meaning no college loans, no car loans, no credit card debt - nothing). My parents volunteered to assist me for a few months until I find a job closer to my dream field.

So I will be able to wake up at 5 and work out from 530-630 every day and enjoy that. I like waking up early and working out. I am currently doing a boot camp (my dad is too) and I like that when we have to run, I am running in the moonlight. I enjoy it. Crazy, I know. I have lost about 6 pounds so far, which is nice. Fitness, here I come.

I broke up with my ex. We "went our separate ways" in other words, I was ready to commit and he didn't know what he wanted, let alone if I was in his picture at all.

So lots and lots of changes, but I am happier by far, getting healthier and living well. :)

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Slowly but surely.

I have been doing boot camp (not military but just those workout-boot camps) for about a month. I don't know if I have lost weight, but I have definitely gained muscle and have already moved from using 5/8 lbs as light and heavy to 10/12 lbs as light and heavy. I can hold a plank for longer and do more push-ups and run longer too. I'm not perfect, but I like working out. I like feeling sore and feeling my body get stronger and stronger. I enjoy it. I enjoy running (when it is only running I am doing - not so much when combined with other activities). I am working hard, and if I get less embarrassed I may share my stats. haha.
If you are starting to get fit, comment and let me know!
If you are getting fit to be the one he looks back and says, "Damn, I should have kept that one..." you aren't alone...let me know!

Olay Fresh Effects Va-Va-Vivid!

I have been using the Olay Fresh Effects Cleansing system for about two weeks and I am completely jazzed. It is like a massage for my face and cleansing all in one. My t-zone is clearer and everything else has calmed down! My skin is radiant! I love it.

I received Olay Fresh Effects as a complimentary product from Influenster and so far, I am very pleased. I enjoy using it because it is easy, fast and it WORKS.

You can buy Olay Fresh Effects at www.olayfresheffects.com or from Amazon.com  :)

Fitness...

I suppose a sixth post in one night isn't too much. It's only one more than five.

I think I will also record my health/fitness stuff. I am working on getting healthier and fitter. I am using myfitnesspal.com and its' app to record food and workouts. I am doing Fit Body Boot Camp...which is killer but AWESOME. I love it.

I am currently in the second week of my journey but I will be kicking my own ass to keep going. It's hard. I hate not being able to eat anything and everything - but eating anything and everything led me to where I am right now - overweight and sub par happy. I am happier already with only two weeks down. Boot camp leaves me sore almost every day which is GREAT. I love feeling sore. Right now it is my chest that is feeling the sore. It's so worth it.

Wannabe Reupholsterer?

Oh, I wish I was good at stuff. I think I did pretty well reupholstering this chair I am sitting on. I loved the shape and the little metal detail in between the seat and back rest.
I added my sweet giraffe chitenje from Malawi because it makes me a little happier when I see it every day. <3

Not Your Mother's® She's a Tease™ Volumizing Hair Spray

Not Your Mother's® She's a Tease™ Volumizing Hair Spray

AH-MAZING. My hair is volume-d to the max and straight and flyaway/frizz-free. What girl needs more than that?

Again, Influenster has come to the rescue with this goody from the Sweetheart Voxbox that I got complimentary to test.

I have a date tomorrow with my handsome boyfriend...and want to look cute. Frizz is my problem and I love volume. Not Your Mother's solves both of those AND my hair isn't hard as a rock (like when I used to make a bun for figure skating). It leaves my hair smooth, volumized and still touchable. Brilliant!

Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response *Review

Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response is the ish. I love it. Who gets stressed? Uh, everyone. Obviously.

At work the other day, I'll be honest...I got in some trouble. Was I sweating? You couldn't tell and that's all that matters! All because Influenster sent me the SweetHeart VoxBox February 2013. I was in luck. Influenster sends out VoxBoxes containing awesome goodies for volunteers to test and review.

Stress Response works hard to keep you smelling good and fighting wetness...I certainly don't want armpit circles on a stressful or hot day, so I use Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response. If you have a big presentation or interview, definitely give Stress Response a try!

:)

http://www.secret.com/clinical-deodorant is where you can find out about the product...and buy it at pretty much any local grocery store (I've seen it in gas stations too!).

Me.

I am a wannabe fashionista (I try on my limited budget), obsessed with traveling traveler, constantly happy...hippy. I am 24. I work part-time and love my job. I love shopping, especially thrifting. I love doing my make-up, hair, getting dressed up. I am constantly yearning for a new place to go...and if I'm honest (which I always am so I don't know why I say that), I always have my next trip in mind (planning it while others are doing important things).

This blog is a record of random things. Starting with VoxBox reviews, but eventually, maybe various things that make me smile and laugh all in one place.
